    MLB Draft

Since we have had so much Reds and Braves talk here is the Reds first pick of the night. Im sure CoeburnCane is happy.

Was about to make a post on this, how he fell to the Reds I'll never know. Cubans everywhere should be wearing the wishbone C in a few years with Chapman and now Grandal.

Atlanta should be looking toward a good stick as 3B or OF I believe with the 35th pick ( I think offhand thats their first pick). Of course you never know how these things will fall.

The Bravos took Matt Lipka (SS) out of a Texas HS. Runs a 6.4 60, and has power potential. Possibly groomed to play CF though with his speed. Was a 2 time all state WR at a 4A school so he has to a be a top notch athlete.

    Screw happy--I'm downright giddy...hahaha

I'll keep my fingers crossed that to go w/Yonder and Yasmani that the Reds end up getting Harold Martinez in next year's draft. Maybe 7teen or pvfan can answer this better, but getting a guy like Martinez (who's drawn comparisons to A-Rod) to one day be the guy at 3B or SS could be a coup for the Reds. I admittedly don't follow the minor league system for the Reds close enough to know who's waiting in the wings at 3B/SS, if anybody.

I think I'd move to Cincy and become a GABP bum if the Reds ended up with Yonder/Yas/Martinez all playing full-time for them.
